1. Purpose of this Notice In terms of the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), PawKit is required to inform you of the personal information we collect, the purpose for which it is collected, and your rights as a data subject.

3. Personal Information We Collect We collect your name, contact details (email, phone, address), payment information, order history, and device/usage data when you shop with us. We only collect information that is adequate, relevant, and not excessive for the purpose of processing your order and providing our services.
4. Purpose of Processing We process your personal information to: fulfil and deliver your orders; process payments; communicate order updates and respond to queries; comply with legal obligations; and improve our services.

6. Sharing of Information Your personal information may be shared with: our courier partners (The Courier Guy, Pudo) for delivery purposes; our payment processor; Shopify Inc. as our e-commerce platform provider; and any other third parties required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Cross-Border Transfers Our store is hosted by Shopify Inc. (Canada), which means your personal information may be processed outside South Africa. Shopify complies with applicable data protection laws and provides adequate safeguards for cross-border data transfers.

Retention We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. Order records are retained for a minimum of 5 years in accordance with South African tax and consumer law.
