We're the dog people from Springs.
PawKit started the way most good things on the East Rand do: someone got tired of waiting. Tired of a R150 dog toy taking three weeks to arrive from a warehouse on another continent. Tired of "pet stores" that are really just kibble warehouses with a shelf of accessories at the back. Tired of paying Sandton prices for things a dog will destroy by Tuesday.
So we built a small, honest range of the things dogs and cats actually use every day — feeding, play, walks, grooming, clean-up — kept it all under R500, and put it on a shelf in Springs so it reaches you in days, not weeks.
What we stand for
Under R500, always. If it costs more than that, it's not in the kit.
Stocked here, shipped from here. Every item is in our hands before it's on the site. 3–5 working days anywhere in South Africa; most of Gauteng in 1–2.
Tested on our own animals. If our dogs won't use it, we don't sell it. If it falls apart in a month, it's gone from the range.
Made-in-SA where it counts. We design and 3D-print our own parts — tag holders, feeder inserts, the PawTag range — right here on the East Rand. Watch the Made in South Africa collection.
Who's behind it
PawKit is a family business: a dual-trade artisan who spends half the year offshore and the other half in the workshop, and his father who keeps the shelves stocked and the courier honest. We answer our own WhatsApp.
